Steve Haslip — Try

To illustrate the saying 'Try, try, try' I made each letter out of approximately 300 coloured matchsticks. Originally intended to be a 30 second animation, but I fell in love with the making process and time got away from me. The 3D letters are themselves beautiful but so too are the silhouettes they create. The animation project ended up being a 3D, photographic, and silkscreen print.
