Dirty Weekend is a series of workshops that provide graphic designers with the opportunity to discover the joy of hands-on, non-digital processes, and how they can enhance their creative thinking. Dirty Weekend is my SVA MFA Designer as Author Thesis Project. Its the result of over a year of intensive work, with the aim of relinquishing the digital baggage we as designers carry. Its about taking risks and getting your hands dirty.
The images show a small range of the work completed over the year. From the ever-changing identity, the work produced at the workshops, the website, to the typographic illustrations for the final presentation. (Each illustration demonstrates a technique to be featured in future workshops.)
If you want to see more please go to the Dirty Weekend website, the Vimeo page, or the Flickr page. If you want to participate in a future workshop please click here and signup to the newsletter.
